Bad Weather Policy

Player safety is our primary concern.  In case of thunder, lightning, heavy rain, or other extreme conditions, sessions will be cancelled and a make-up will be scheduled.  Information regarding cancellations will be posted on the "Rained Out???" tab of the Golf page at YACSports.com.
 

The decision on whether or not to cancel a session is based on weather forecast including sophisticated radar information that is available through subscription to Somers National GC.  Given the capability of this technology, it is possible to isolate and predict "hyper local" conditions at Somers National GC, which may be different from those outside your front door.

Golf is one of a number of sports that is played in the rain.  Please expect that YAC Golf sessions will be held under wet conditions.  Do not assume that YAC Golf is cancelled if other sports or activities are cancelled by YAC or your local school district.
